Change or Enter W/D/R Number

Explanation

The appearance of a W/D/R (Waiver, Deviation, Rejection) number means that the parts are wrong in some way or that they deviate from the standard. Use the Change W/D/R No window to change or enter a new W/D/R number. The field will accept alphanumeric characters. The purpose of this functionality is to indicate which parts are wrong. If only some of the parts in a batch are affected, you have the option to indicate that this is the case.

Change of W/D/R number can also be applied for a handling unit and then all the inventory location records connected to that handling unit ID inherit the applied W/D/R.

Prerequisites

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the W/D/R number is changed or entered. If the quantity field in the Change W/D/R No dialog box is changed, the part location record is divided into additional locations.

When applied on a handling unit it is all the inventory location records attached to that HU and its underlying structure that will have the new availability control ID.
