Unattach Parts from Handling Unit

Explanation

This activity is used to unattach parts from a handling unit.

Prerequisites

A handling unit must exist in the handling unit structure and have some part and quantities previously attached.

System Effects

Parts are unattached from the handling unit. The unattached quantity will then have handling unit = 0 in inventory part in stock.

Procedure

From Handling Unit or Handling Unit in Stock window:

1. Open the Handling Unit or Handling Unit in Stock window and search for the handling unit from which part should be unattached.
2. In the handling unit structure, select the relevant handling unit.
3. Right-click and then click Unattach Parts from Handling Unit.
4. On the dialog box that appears, modify the quantity to unattach accordingly and click OK.

From Inventory Part in Stock window:

1. Open the  Inventory Part in Stock window and search for the handling unit from which part should be unattached.
2. Select the relevant handling unit  and right-click and then click Unattach Parts from Handling Unit.
3. On the dialog box that appears, modify the quantity to unattach accordingly and click OK.
