Cancel Structure/Routing Alternate

Explanation

Use this activity to change the status of a structure or routing alternate to Cancelled. A structure or routing alternate with Cancelled status is invisible to the system for allocations, demands, order operations, load and planning, and costing purposes. When it is has Cancelled status, you cannot modify the structure or routing alternate and its components or operations. After cancellation, you may choose a RMB menu option to review the structure alternate. This changes its status back to Tentative.

Prerequisites

This activity requires that the structure alternate has Tentative or Plannable status.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, the system changes the status of the structure or routing alternate to Cancelled. If no other structure alternates for the part revision have Plannable or Buildable status, the value in the product status column in the Inventory Part/Revisions tab is set to Not In Effect.

Procedure

1. Populate or make a selective query to display the parent part.
2. In the Alternate list box, select the structure or routing alternate.
3. Right-click anywhere in the header of any of the following tab windows: Product Structure, Recipe Structure, Planning Structure, Config Structure or Routings, then click Cancel.
4. At the prompt to confirm the cancellation, click OK. The status changes to Cancelled.
