Connect Handling Unit Accessories
Explanation
This activity is used to connect handling unit accessories to handling units.
The handling unit accessory ID is selected from the List of Values and must be defined in the
Handling Unit Accessories window. The description, weight, and volume of the accessory is automatically retrieved. Accessories can
be, for example, a pallet lid or pallet rims.
Prerequisites
- At least one handling unit accessory ID must have been defined.
- At least one handling unit must have been defined.
System Effects
- The accessories entered will be connected to the
handling unit.
- The Accessory Exist check box in the handling unit
details will be selected on the handling unit.

Procedure
From Handling Unit window:
- Open the Handling Unit
window.
- Query for an existing handling unit.
- Click the Structure tab to
view the handling unit structure details.
- Right-click on the handling unit and and then click Handling Unit
Accessories.
- In the dialog box that opens, click New to
enter a new record.
- Select an accessory ID from the List of Values.
- Enter a quantity, and click OK.
From Shipment window:
- Open the Shipment window, and use the populate or
search function to retrieve the required shipment.
- Click the Handling Unit Structure tab.
- Select a handling unit in the structure, right-click and then
click Handling Unit
Accessories.
- In the dialog box that opens, click New to
enter a new record.
- Select an accessory ID from the List of Values.
- Enter a quantity, and click OK.
From Shop Order and Shop Floor
Workbench windows:
- Open the Shop Order or Shop
Floor Workbench window.
- Search for a shop order.
- Click the Handling Unit Structure tab.
- Select a handling unit in the structure, right-click and then
click Handling Unit
Accessories.
- In the dialog box that opens, click New to
enter a new record.
- Select an accessory ID from the List of Values.
- Enter a quantity and click OK.
