Create Case Task
Explanation
This activity is used to create a new case task. Each case
can consist of one or more case tasks which need to be completed in order to complete
the case. A case task can be queued to a particular assignee or support queue to be
handled.
Prerequisites
- The task type,
task activity, and task completion must have been entered in the
Case Task Basic Data window.
- The case must have been created and the current case must have been retrieved
to the
window.
- The case must have been accepted from the support queue.
- To create a case task from an existing template,
a case task template must have been entered in the Case
Task Basic Data window.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the case task will be created.

Procedure
- Open the
Case window and click the
Tasks tab.
- Double click on a row on the table.
- In the Activity field, enter the activity that will be performed. Use
the List of Values to select a suitable value.
- In the Due Date field, enter the due date for the task.
- Enter the task comment in the Comment field.
- Save the record.
Note: You can also create case tasks for the case
using the existing task templates. To do so, select the row, right-click and
then click Create Case Task from Template, and select a value for the Task
Template Name field.
