Set Operational Status

Explanation

This activity is used to enter the status of operation an equipment object can have when a work task is performed on it. From a production point of view, operational status can be of the Obstructive or Not Obstructive types.

Prerequisites

Before setting an operational status, the following must have been completed:

• Information on the operational status must have been entered in Work Order and PM Basic Data.
• The work task must exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, an operational status of the work task is set. This operational status can then be used in the planning of the work task.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to enter the information in Work Task window:

1. Query the work order and then select the appropriate work task. (F3)
2. Click the Object tab.
3. In the Operational Status field, use List of Values to select the identity for the status of the operation. Verify, whether the operational status is of Obstructive or Not Obstructive type.
4. Save the information.
    

Use the following procedure to enter the information in Work Task tab in the Prepare Work Order or the Work Order Structure window:

1. Query the work order and then select the appropriate work task. (F3)
2. In the Operational Status field, use List of Values to select the identity for the status of the operation. Verify, whether the operational status is of Obstructive or Not Obstructive type.
3. Save the information.

Note: It is also possible to set the Operational Status in the Work Tasks window.
