Perform Independent Sign Off
Explanation
This activity is used to sign off work tasks or subtasks (from Fleet and
Asset Management) having Independent sign off requirements. When this activity is performed,
and certificate requirements are defined, the system will check whether the current
user fulfills requirements for performing independent sign off, after which the
work task or subtask will be signed off and the work task changed to the Finished
status.
Note: The person performing an independent sign off cannot be the same
person who performed executor or inspector sign off.
Prerequisites
- The work task or subtask must exist in the Work Done status.
- Independent sign off requirements must have been defined on the work
task
or subtask.
- If there is a requirement for inspector sign off, this must have been performed
prior to independent sign off.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, an independent sign off is performed on the
work task
or subtask. The work task is changed to the Finished status.

Procedure
- Open the Work Task or the
Work Tasks
window, alternatively select the Work Tasks tab in the
Prepare Work Order
, Report In Work Order or
the Work Order
Structure window.
- Query the work order and then select the appropriate work task. (F3).
- Navigate to the Sign Off
Requirements tab.
- Select the appropriate record, right-click, and then click Perform
Independent Sign Off. If the security checkpoint is enabled, the Authentication
Request dialog box opens.
- Enter your user ID and password.
- Click OK.
- Information related to sign off will be updated in the relevant record.
