Create Customer Order Line
Explanation
Use this activity to create customer order line/lines for one or several
sales lines connected to the work task.
Prerequisites
Before the customer order line/lines are created, the following must have been completed:
- A work task must exist.
- The sales lines must exist with a sales part connected and be set to Invoiceable.
- A customer must exist on the work task or alternatively an Alternative Customer must be
entered in the Customer No field on
the Sales line.
System Effects
- As a result of this activity, a new customer order is created where the line/lines are included.
- If a customer order already exists with the customer, including the same service contract and coordinator, the order line/lines are added to
this customer order.
- In the sales line, the State field shows as Transferred and the
Cust Order No. , Cust Order Line No. , Cust Order
Rel No. and Cust Order Line Item No. fields will be updated
with customer order information.

Procedure
Use the following procedure to create the customer order line/lines using the
Work Task,
Prepare Work Order
or
Work Order Structure
window.
- Query the work task, or alternatively, query for the work order and click
the Work Task tab.
- Click the Sales tab.
- Select the relevant Sales lines to be transferred.
- Right-click and point to Create Customer Order Line.
- Note that the State field on the sales line is updated
to Transferred, and that the Cust Order no field
shows a customer order number.
- Optionally, view the customer order by right-clicking and then selecting
Customer Order.
