Accept Work Assignment
Explanation
This activity is used to change the status of a work assignment to Accepted.
Prerequisites
Before the status is changed, the following must have been completed:
- A work task in released status must exist.
- A work assignment in assigned status must exist.
System Effects
- The status of the work assignment is changed to Accepted.
- It is possible to change the status of the work assignment to
OnRoute, Work Started, Handover or Cancelled.
Status Handover can only be set from My Work window.
- A journal entry is created for this event. Journal entries are generated in the
Journal tab found in the Prepare Work Order and
Report In Work Order
windows.
- If the work task is connected to a SLA order line which has a SLA latest
start, when the status is set to Waiting on Location, the
Responded Date is updated on SLA order line.
- If the Allow Multiple Visits check box is selected for the work
task, then the visit chain is created with multiple work assignments based
on the working schedule or calendar of the assigned resource.

Procedure
Use the following procedure to change the status using the
Work Task,
Prepare Work Order or
Work Order
Structure window.
- Open the Work Task window, alternatively select the
Work Task tab in the
Prepare Work Order or the
Work Order
Structure window.
- Query the work order and then select the appropriate work task.(F3)
- Click the Work Assignments tab.
- Right-click, point to Status and then click Accepted.
Use the following procedure to change the status using the
Work Assignments window.
- Open the
Work Assignments window.
- Query for the work assignment (F3). (If the assignment no is unknown, a combination of work order and/or work task no can be used to find the assignment no.).
- Right-click, point to Status and then click Accepted.
