Override Appointment

Explanation

This activity is used to override the appointment offers sent by the Appointment Booking Engine (ABE) and instead create a manual (exception) appointment. If the customer/appointment stakeholder is not satisfied with the appointment slots presented by the Appointment Booking Engine the user can choose to create an appointment slot by manually entering the start and end time of the slot. The user can choose if to book an appointment to start or an appointment to finish.

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, a work task needs to be created and a resource demand needs to be specified for the work task.

Procedure

  1. Open the Work Task window.
  2. Populate (F2) or query (F3) for the required work task.
  3. Right-click, then click Appointment Booking to open the Appointment Booking window.
  4. Click the Override Appointment button in the right-hand side menu. This will open up the dialog to enter a manual appointment slot.
  5. Specify the appointment mode to be used. Either Appointment to Start or Appointment to Finish.
  6. Enter the Start date and time for the appointment slot to be booked.
  7. Enter the Completion date and time for the appointment to be booked.
  8. Click the OK button to register the appointment in the work task.
