Enter/Modify Employee Time Intervals
Explanation
This activity is used to view or modify the time intervals generated by the
clocking information registered in the Time Card Day/Clocking tab. You can also
enter
new intervals. The Time Card Day/Interval tab as well as the
Employee Intervals
window can be used to perform this activity.
Attendance intervals can be created for an employee as a result of several functions;
- Intervals automatically generated when clocking records are entered by
employee.
- Intervals generated automatically by the system. These clocking
intervals are registered in Time Card Day/Interval tab and
Employee Intervals window with Default registration type.
- Intervals automatically generated when absence records are entered in
the Absence window.
- Supervisor manually create intervals in the Time Card Day/Interval
tab or the Employee Intervals window.
Prerequisites
In order to modify an interval, a clocking interval is required to be already
entered in the Time Card Day/Interval tab.
System Effects
As a result of this activity;
- The time card day will be recalculated and the
information in the
Time Card Day/Result tab and Employee Results window will be updated.
- The Calc Status field on the Time Card Day window
will be updated based on the intervals. If you create open intervals, the
status will be Open.
- If the results generated by the intervals are complete, the Completed check box will be selected.
- In Time Type + In Reg Type + Wage Type + Wage Code =
open absence interval , and the absence wage code has to be set as a
repeating (Wage codes/RMB on wage code - parameter--> Absence
parameters/Repeating fild - repeated)
Two scenarios:
If no TA association - the day will be closed and new open absence interval
will be registered on the next day. The procedure will continue until
absence ends.
If TA association - the day will be closed and the associated absence (in
the Absence window) will be registered with the Ongoing check
box selected. The absence will go on until the check box is cleared.
- If you register an absence interval and used a wage code for
ongoing absences (when you are not sure when the absence will end), two
system effects are possible.
If you register an open absence interval, and the selected absence Wage
Code is set as Repeating (this is done as part of wage code
parameterization),
two system effects are possible:
If TA Association is
configured, the entire day will be closed and the absence will be registered
in the Absence window with the Ongoing check box selected. The
absence will keep prolonging itself by changing its end date until the check
box is cleared.
If TA Association is not
configured, the day will be closed and new open absence interval will be
registered on the next day. The procedure will continue until absence ends.
