Generate Initial Candidate List

Explanation

Use this function to generate an initial candidate list. It is possible to do a matching for both internal and external applicants as well as employees in the organization who did not apply.

You will use the Matching Engine window, and the result (applicants or employees) will be based on criteria selected there. 

Prerequisites

Before generating an initial candidate list, a Personnel Requisition No and Candidate ID must have been registered.

Procedure

  1. Open the Personnel Requisition window.
  2. Search or populate for the relevant requisition and go to the Job Candidates tab.
  3. Right-click in the tab and click Generate Initial Candidate List... A dialog window will open.
  4. In the Candidate Source area:
  5. Select From Applicants Applied Jobs check box if the list should contain applicants who applied for the job.
  6. Select From Specification Matching check box if the list should contain everyone who matches the criteria you will later specify in the Matching Engine window.
  7. Select Include Applicants Reserved for Other Jobs if the list should include applicants who are already reserved for other positions.
  8. In the Result Compilation area:
  9. Press OK, depending on your choices, candidates will be loaded immediately or the Matching Engine  window will open.
  10. Use the Matching Engine window to find employees who fit your criteria. For more information on the window, please read its documentation.
  11. Once the matching is set up, click Proceed. You will be taken back to the Personnel Requisition window. All employees who met your criteria (and belong to the company where the personnel requisition was registered) will be loaded onto the Job Candidates tab.
  12. Save your changes.
