Modify Requested Quantity

Explanation

If the requested quantity of a demand needs to be changed, use the Modify Requested Quantity menu option to enter the adjusted quantity. This will reflect the quantity change in its connected supply.

In Project Delivery:

The required quantity is calculated based on the quantity of the project item in the project product structure. If this quantity has been changed, then a new Gross Requirements Calculation (GRC) must be run in order to reflect the new required quantity for the project specific item in the MPL. If a supply request has already been created for it, the Modify Requested Quantity menu option can be selected to change the quantity of the existing supply. 

If a shop order has been created for it and you wish to change the requested quantity, you should not have the shop order in Released or Closed status.

Procedure

  1. Modify the required quantity on the miscellaneous demand line.
  2. Save the change.
  3. Right-click and click Modify Requested Quantity.
  4. Enter the adjusted quantity in the Modify Requested Quantity dialog box and click OK.

Additional steps for Project Delivery:

  1. In the Modify Requested Quantity dialog box that appears again select the relevant option whether to modify the existing purchase order/shop order or create a new order.
  2. Click OK.
