Block Pick by Choice

Explanation

The Blocked for Pick by Choice is used to secure that a specific reservation record cannot be picked by choice. This means, if the reservation is blocked for pick by choice it's not possible to pick anything else than the stock on the reservation.It's also not possible to pick such a reservation from any other pick list line with pick by choice. It's possible to block for pick by choice for CO reservations, SO reservations and DOP reservations.
Block for pick by choice is only valid if pick by choice is allowed for the site. 

Prerequisites

• The Pick by Choice list in the Site/Extended Site Info/Inventory/General tab must have been set to Not Reserved, Not Pick Listed, Not on Printed Pick List, or Allowed.
• Blocked for Pick by Choice can only be set for customer order, shop order and DOP order reservations. From both customer order and shop order pick lists you can pick from customer order line reservations, customer order pick list lines, shop order material line reservations, shop order pick list lines and DOP order reservations depending on the site setting.
• There is stock reserved that is not yet on a pick list or pick reported.

System Effects

• The reservation record or pick list line record is blocked, wich means that it is not possible to pick by choice for that line.
• The record is also not available to be picked by choice from another pick list line.

Procedure

To block for pick by choice for a customer order line reservation from the Manual Reservation window:

1. From Customer Order, Order Lines tab, Quick Order Flow Handling, or From Shipment, Shipment Lines tab,  right-click on Manual Reservations.
2. Select the stock record to reserve and either enter the quantity to reserve or select Reserve from the menu.
3. Click the check box Blocked for Pick by Choice and save.

To block for pick by choice for a shop order material line reservation from the Manual Reservation window:

1. From Shop Order, Material tab, right-click on Manual Reservations.
2. Select the stock record to reserve and either enter the quantity to reserve or select Reserve from the menu.
3. Click the check box Blocked for Pick by Choice and save.

To block for pick by choice for a DOP order reservation from the Manual Reservation window:

1. From DOP Order, Components tab, right-click on Manual Reservations.
2. Press New and select the stock record to reserve and enter the Quantity to Reserve.
3. Click the check box Blocked for Pick by Choice and save.

To block for pick by choice for a DOP inventory reservation from the DOP Order window:

1. From DOP Order, go to Supply, Inventory tab.
2. Select a line and right-click on Set Blocked for Pick by Choice .
3. To remove the block right-click on Clear Blocked for Pick by Choice .

To block for pick by choice for a DOP temporary inventory reservation from the DOP Order window:

1. From DOP Order, go to Supply, Temp Inventory tab.
2. Select a line and right-click on Set Blocked for Pick by Choice .
3. To remove the block right-click on Clear Blocked for Pick by Choice .
