Update Data Processing Purposes

This activity is used to manage purposes for which data is stored and processed.
Note: This activity can result in irreversible loss of data.

Procedure

When updating data subject's data processing purposes for the first time:

  1. Open the Data Subject Analysis window.
  2. Right-click a data subject whose data processing purposes you want to change and click Manage Data Processing Purposes.... The Data Processing Purpose Management dialog will open.
    The New Purpose Set option should be active.
  3. In the Data Processing Purpose area:
  4. Click OK.
  5. If the change results in data cleanup, a warning will appear, informing what personal information will be removed/anonymized. If you want to continue, click Yes.

When updating data subject's data processing purposes afterwards:

  1. Open the Data Subject Analysis window.
  2. Right-click a data subject whose data processing purposes you want to change and click Manage Data Processing Purposes.... The Data Processing Purpose Management dialog will open.
    The View option should be active. It shows the current state of data processing purposes.
  3. To change the purposes, activate the Update Purposes option.
    In the Data Processing Purpose area:
  4. To withdraw all purposes, activate the Withdraw All option.
  5. Click OK.
  6. If the change results in data cleanup, a warning will appear, informing what personal information will be removed/anonymized. If you want to continue, click Yes.
