Enable Cleanup of Personal Data

Explanation

This activity is used to include (or exclude) a personal data category from a data cleanup process. Data included in the process will be anonymized/removed once there is no valid reason to store them.

Prerequisites

In case of system defined personal data, there are no prerequisites.
If you are using property codes to store personal data, those have to be defined as a Personal Data Categories first.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, personal data will be included in the cleanup process.

Procedure

1. Open the Personal Data Management window.
   • If you want a personal category to be included in data cleanup, make sure that the Data Cleanup check box is selected.
   • If you want to exclude a personal data category from data cleanup, clear the Data Cleanup check box.
2. Save your changes.
