Customize Anonymization

Explanation

This activity is used to customize how a specific data type will be anonimized.
In some cases the application might not be able to delete data. If this happens, anonymization has to be enabled to avoid errors.

There are no prerequisites.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a custom anonymization setting will be used during cleanup of selected data.

Procedure

  1. Open the Personal Data Management window and find a personal data type for chich you want to create custom anonymization.
  2. Right-click the data category and click Customize Anonymization... A new window will open.
  3. Some fields in the application can be defined as mandatory by a user, which can create problems for the cleanup procedure. For those fields to be successfully anonymized, the Mandatory check box should be selected. You should concern yourself with this check box only if the cleanup process returns errors.
  4. You can select Skip Anonymization check box if you want to exclude certain data from the anonymization process.
  5. In the Fixed Anonymization Value field, you can enter the value that will replace the original value when the field is anonymized.
  6. Save your changes.
