Select Version

Explanation

Use this activity to select an operational version for the estimate. The version handles the business side of the estimate; quantities, costs, insecurities and markups. This means that there can be several versions with different build-ups in terms of  costs, markups etc. connected to the same estimate revision in order to handle quantity breaks and differentiated offering to different customers. Select version is a manual action which can be executed for all versions which are not Cancelled.

Procedure

  1. Open the Estimate window.
  2. Search for the Estimate ID for which you would swap selected version for, or populate the window and click the requested number in the Estimate ID list.
  3. Click the Versions tab.
  4. In the upper table right-click on the record representing the version to selected, choose Select Version.
  5. The Select check box is checked for the version record. Also notice that its version id is displayed in the Selected Version field in the estimate header.
