Procedure

Follow this procedure to remove an event from the work scope:

Note: You can also use the Reconfigure Work Scope window to remove events from a work scope.

  1. Open the Define Work Scope window.
  2. In the Work Order No field, query (F3) for the work order to which your work order part belongs.
  3. Click the Work Scope Mx Events tab to verify the event you intend to remove.
  4. Right-click anywhere in the header of the Define Work Scope window, and then click Maintenance Event Summary. The Maintenance Event Summary window opens. (If preferred, select the relevant right mouse button option to open the Reconfigure Work Scope window.)
  5. Click the Modification tab.
  6. Select the All Running option. The table in the window will display all running events for the modification.
  7. Clear the Include In Workscope check box for the events you want to remove from the work scope.
  8. Save the record (F12).
  9. Right-click on the header of the Maintenance Event Summary window, and then click Define Shop Visit Work Scope. The Define Work Scope window opens with the relevant details.
Alternatively, if you already have the Define Work Scope window open, simply refresh the data (i.e., in the Work Order No list, re-select your work order) to incorporate the new changes.
  10. Click the Work Scope Mx Events tab to view the events that are removed from the work scope. The status of the event is automatically set to Removed (as illustrated in the State field).
