Define Support Organization
Explanation
This activity is used to define a support organization, which can be used to
define new cases. A support organization handles cases.
Prerequisites
- The relevant work calendar must have been entered in
IFS/Application Services.
- The value to be entered in the Organization User field must be
a registered user for the IFS Application.
- The support level of the organization must have been entered in the
Support Agreement Basic Data/Support Level tab.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, support organization data will be available when
selecting a support organization for a particular case.

Procedure
- Open the Support Organization Basic Data window and click the
Support
Organization tab.
- Double-click on the lower table to create a new record.

- In the Organization ID field, enter an ID for the
organization.
- In the Description field, enter a description about the
organization.
- To set the organization as the default, select the Default Value check
box. Alternately, once the record is saved, you can right-click and then click Set
Default to set the selected organization as the default; thereby
discarding any other default setting.
- Enter a value in the Work Calendar field. Use the List of Values to
select a suitable value.
- Optionally, you can enter values in the following fields:
- In the LOV Order field, define the order in which you want the
organization to appear in the List of Values.
- Click List in the Time Zone field.
The Application
Services - Create Time Zone dialog box opens. Specify the relevant region and city in the Select
Region and Select City fields. Click OK.
- Enter a value in the Organization User field. Use the List of
Values to select a suitable value.
- Use the Disclaimer field to specify text which could be included
when sending e-mails.
- Enter a value in the Support Level field. Use the List of Values to
select a suitable value.
- Save the record. (F12)
Note: A value cannot be defined in the Manager
field until an assignee has been defined.
After creating a support organization, you can enter assignees in the
Support Organization Basic Data/Assignee tab and then use the List
of Values to select a manager for the support organization in the
Support Organization Basic Data/Support Organization tab.
