Set Business Opportunity On-Hold

Explanation

This activity is used to keep the business opportunity on-hold, i.e., when the sales process is interrupted for some reason. This could be, for instance, when you are waiting for information or a confirmation from the customer or if further discussions with the customer are required before proceeding.

You can resume the work again by activating the opportunity at any time, without any specific conditions or requirements.

Prerequisites

The business opportunity cannot be in the Closed or Canceled status.

System Effects

As a result of this activity,

• The status of the business opportunity changes to On-Hold.
• All right mouse button options are disabled, except for the Activate option, which will be made available.

Procedure

1. Open the Business Opportunity window and search for the record.
2. Right-click on the header and then click On-Hold Opportunity.
3. The Hold Business Opportunity dialog box appears.
4. Optionally, you can add an internal note.
5. Click OK.
