Use this dialog box to change the current exchange code for an exchange line to a new exchange code. This is useful when the type of exchange needs to be adjusted due to changed conditions. An example could be that the agreement with the customer is changed from double- to single exchange. The customer does not want to repair the parts any longer with return as the outcome, instead the new agreement is swap of parts. Replacement parts will be shipped to the customer and the broken parts will be sent in return. You can only change the exchange code before dispatched items have been approved by the customer and received items have been confirmed. This means that the exchange line cannot be in the Cancelled, Complete or Closed status.
