Define rules for Resources

Explanation

This activity is used to create and manage configuration rules for resources required for the execution item template. An execution item template is made possible to register all possible resource alternatives connected to work lists which are required by the design. A rule can be defined on every resource alternative, by adding appropriate rule conditions and respective actions. These conditions are evaluated and actions are performed based on the configuration criteria inputs later in the configuration phase..

Prerequisites

Resources connected to a work list should be defined with at least one of the execution items.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a resource rule will be created and available for evaluation.

Configuration Rules - Resource

Procedure

1. Open the Compatible Unit Template Navigator window.
2. Search for an exiting record.
3. Select the appropriate execution item template in the navigator.
4. Click the Work Lists/Resources tab.
5. Select an existing work list line and enter a new record in Resources tab with value of Demand Type as Person or Tool/Equipment..
6. Enter information is Resource Group, Planned Quantity and Planned Hours and save.
7. Right click and then click Resource Rules.
8. Define appropriate conditions and actions in Configuration Rules - Resource window and save.
