Usage

Use this window to query and view the details of configuration specifications for configured parts.  This window provides information about the status of the configuration, the characteristic values for the configuration, and the details of records where this particular configuration is in use.

The configuration of a part can be initiated in IFS/Manufacturing Standards, IFS/Customer Orders, IFS/Shop Order, and IFS/Dynamic Order Processing. Because you work with parts in the inventory part register, you must have entered the parts, inventory locations, and all related data in IFS/Inventory.  When creating the configuration, you define which features and options the customer wants the part to have. After creating the configuration specification, you can edit and revise it. Each time you revise a configuration, it is automatically assigned a new configuration number.

By open the Lobby section in the bottom of the screen you have the possibility to investigate further usage of a specific configuration family.
