Create Handover

Explanation

This activity is used to create a handover reference to handle IFS Application processes. That is, for example, create a service request, customer order, work order via resource planning, return material authorization (RMA), project activity, change request, shop order or purchase order. It is possible to view the connected handover reference and to disconnect it using the right-mouse-button options.  

Prerequisites

System Effects

As a result of this activity, a work order, customer order, handover to work order via resource planning, RMA, project activity, change request, shop order or purchase order will be created with a reference to the case task.

Procedure

  1. Open the Case Task window.
  2. Select a suitable case, right-click and then click Create Handover Reference. The Handover dialog box opens.
  3. Select an appropriate value for the Handover Reference field.
  4. Create the work order, customer order, work order via resource planning, return material authorization, project activity, change request, shop order or purchase order using the window that opens.

Note: This activity can be performed using the Case Tasks tab in the Case window as well. To do so, select the case task and use the appropriate right mouse button options.
