Select Import Job

Explanation

This activity is used to choose the job that is to be imported. The current export job that is selected will be the choice for import by default, and to shift the focus to any other import job would require that import job to be selected as the current one. If a job has been defined as both an export and an import job, the integration package to be imported will be automatically copied to the folder defined by the program.

Prerequisites

A job of type Import must exist.

System Effects

Once the import job is selected it becomes the current job and will be the default job designated for import.

Procedure

Use the following procedure to select a job for import (if the current export job is not the one that has to be imported):

  1. Navigate to the Job Overview window from the View Overview link on the Current Job window. You can also click on Query in the Manage Job window, where you can choose to enter filtering criteria to find the import job in mind or simply select OK to retrieve a list of all the jobs, to get to this window.
  2. On the Job Overview window, click on the row of the job that you wish to import. This job then becomes the current job.
  3. If the selected job is of the job type Import and has this tab selected in the Manage Job window the tasks that can be performed on an Inbound Integration Package will be displayed in the Tasks frame.
