Transfer Work Task to the Mobile Device
Explanation
This activity is used to transfer a work task to IFS
Mobile Work Order. You can choose to transfer the work task to a specific
mobile user or to all users belonging to the work order site. The work task
is transferred during synchronization between the mobile device and the server. When a work task
is transferred to a common pool, the user who first accepts the
work task is considered its owner. The work task is then removed from the pool.
Note: If the work task is scheduled by the Scheduling Engine, it
will not be possible to transfer the work order to the pool. In this instance,
the Pool check box will be disabled.
Prerequisites
- Work tasks should be created with the relevant information under
IFS/Work Order Management.
- The employee should be defined. This employee should be set up as a
mobile user.
System Effects
- Work Assignment for the task will be transferred to mobile or, if no
assignment exist and task is transferred directly to mobile user, new Work
Assignment will be created and transferred
- The transferred work task will be displayed in the
Transferred Tasks/ Work Assignments
window.
- The status of the transferred work assignment is set to Assigned.
- The Transferred to Mobile check box is selected on the
Task.
- Depending on your selection, the work task will be transferred during
synchronization to the mobile device of the assignee or to mobile devices of all users belonging to the
task site.

Procedure
- Open the Work Task window and find required
task .
- Right-click and select Transfer to Mobile. The
dialog box opens
if the task is not already assigned to an employee (Work Assignment created)
- In the Signature field, enter the ID of the employee to whom the
work task is to be assigned. Use the List of Values to select a valid
value.
- If an assignee cannot be set for the work task at this stage, select
the Pool or Pool-Keep check box to transfer the work order to a common pool of
work orders.
- Click OK.
