Disconnect Work Order from Project Activity
Explanation
This activity is used to disconnect a work order or a work order structure
from a project activity. A work order can only be disconnected if the work tasks
on the work order does not have any cost lines or invoicable sales lines.
Prerequisites
- IFS/Project must have been installed along with IFS/Work Order.
- A work order must have been manually connected to a project activity.
- The work tasks on the connected work order must not have any cost lines or
invoicable sales lines.
- The connected project activity must be in status Planned
or Released.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the work order will be
disconnected from the project activity, and it will not appear as a connection on the
Project Navigator/Activity/Connections tab in IFS/Project.

Procedure
- Open the
Prepare Work Order window.
- Query for the connected work order (F3).
- Right-click anywhere on the window, point to Project Connections,
and click Disconnect from Activity.
- If the selected work order is connected to a
structure, an information message appears. Click Yes if you also want
to disconnect all work orders below the selected work order in the
structure. When you click Yes, the Project Connected check box
in the General tab will be cleared for the selected work order
and all work orders below it. When you click No, the check box will
only be cleared for the selected work order.
