Define Appointment Reason

Explanation

Appointment Reasons are used when registering an appointment that violates the SLA Dates of the work task. When sending an appointment request, the system requests appointment offers over the range of dates covered by the appointment period. Depending upon the SLA dates of the work task (SLA Latest Start and SLA Latest Finish), some offers may be returned that are inside the appointment period, but violates these SLA dates. In such a situation, the user has to register a Reason, if they accept an appointment that violates the SLA dates of the work task. The reason entered is recorded in the work order journal. Procedure

  1. Open the Appointment Basic Data window.
  2. Click the Reason tab and create a new record (F5).
  3. In the Reason Code field, enter the ID of the appointment reason.
  4. In the Reason Description field, enter a description of the appointment reason.
  5. Save the information(F12).
