Create Severity

Explanation

This activity is used to create severities that will be connected to fault types in Failure Analysis Setup Navigator. For example, define severity 1 as the highest level of severity to be connected to a fault type.

As a result of this activity, a severity is created and can be used in the Failure Analysis Setup Navigator/Fault Types tab.

Procedure

1. Open the Work Order and PM Basic Data window.
2. Click the Severities tab.
3. Create a new record.
4. Enter a numerical value in the Severity Rank field.
5. Enter a description in the Severity Description field.
6. Enter a description in the Effect Description field.
7. Save the record.
