Enter Data Collection User Group

Explanation

This activity is used to enter a data collection user group. The user group is connected to the configuration from the Data Collection Configuration/User Group Access Details tab. User groups are a more efficient way to handle user access to the configuration than connecting each and every user individually.

This activity has no prerequisites.

System Effects

• A data collection user group is created.
• This user group can be connected to the data collection configuration.

Procedure

1. Open the Data Collection Basic Data window.
2. Click the User Groups tab.
3. In the upper section of the window select New.
4. In the User Group ID field, enter an appropriate ID of no more than 50 alphanumeric characters.
5. Enter a description in the corresponding field.
6. In the Site field enter the short code for the site or select one using the List of Values.
7. Save the changes.
8. In the lower section of the window add one or several users by selecting New.
9. In the User ID field enter the ID of the user or select one using the List of Values.
10. Save the changes.
