Enter Report Field Control

Explanation

This activity is used to enter report field control for a selected tax template. This involves specifying the relationship between the subgroups defined in IFS Applications and the template fields used by the selected templates. You are required to carry out this activity before you create a tax report that is based on a tax template for which the value entered in the Template Field Control field in the Tax Templates window is Can or Mandatory.

It is also possible to copy the report field control from another company. Alternatively, you can copy all the template fields of the selected tax template from the Tax Template Field Control Basic window and manually select the subgroups/tax codes to be connected to the relevant template fields.

Prerequisites

In order to perform this activity,

• At least one tax template for which the value entered in the Template Field Control in the Tax Templates window is Can or Mandatory must exist, and
• The subgroups that you want to connect to template fields must be defined in the Tax Group window.

System Effects

As a result of this entry, you can enter tax report information based on the template defined.

Procedure

1. Open the Tax Template Field Control window and create a new record.
2. Use the List of Values to select the appropriate template for the Template ID field. Available templates depend on the country of the company. The corresponding template description appears automatically in the Template Description field.
3. Select an appropriate value for the Selection Based on field to specify on what the selection of tax transactions to a tax proposal should be based on.
4. If you have selected the value Subgroups for the Selection Based on field, use the List of Values to select an appropriate value for the Tax Group ID field..
5. In the table portion of the window, create a new record.
6. Select one of the template fields included in the specified template using the List of Values. The description of the template field appears automatically in the Description field.
7. If you have selected the value Subgroups for the Selection Based on field, enter a value in the Sub Group ID field. If you have selected the value Tax Codes for the Selection Based on field, enter a value in the Tax Code field. The List of Values can be used to select appropriate values.
8. Repeat the steps 5-7 to enter as many fields as you want.
9. Save your changes.
