Send Direct Delivery Message (DIRDEL Message)

Explanation

If you are using the EDI message feature, you can send a DIRDEL message to the ordering customer for parts that have been delivered directly to the end customer via shipment. You can use this feature to re-send the DIRDEL message as well.

Prerequisites

• Basic data for the EDI message feature must have been set up in IFS/Connectivity.
• You must have entered data for EDI for applicable ordering customer in the Customer/Message Setup. The Method Default check box must be selected for the message.
• The customer order has been created by an internal purchase order.
• The delivery note must have been created via Shipment.

System Effects

The DIRDEL message is sent via EDI to the ordering customer.

Procedure

1. Open the Send Direct Delivery Message for Shipments window and populate or query for the shipment or customer order in question.
2. Select a line, right-click and select Send Direct Delivery Message. A dialog box opens up. Confirm by clicking OK.
3. Note, the message can only be sent for one customer order at a time.
