Add Events to Maintenance Order

Explanation

This activity is used to add events to a maintenance order. This is useful during the planning stage of the visit, where the maintenance order is created and the scope of the visit defined. During this stage, the maintenance order can be updated, e.g., events added, as the needs and requirements of the maintenance visit are firmed up and established.

At creation, the event is set to the New status. This status is used to represent a pending event that is not yet planned to be executed. When the event is added to a maintenance order, the status of the event will be changed to Planned in Scope. The Planned in Scope status is used to indicate that the event has been planned on the maintenance order, but a work order has not yet been created.

Prerequisites

To perform this activity, a maintenance order in the Initial Scope Definition status must exist. Pending events must exist.

System Effects

As a result of this activity, events will be assigned to the maintenance order. The maintenance order can be set to the Under Preparation status.
