Close Sales Quotation
Explanation
Use this function to close a sales quotation. The function can be used to close an
entire sales quotation when you have created a customer order from one or more quotation
lines. It can also be used when one or more quotation lines are lost, and you do not
intend to follow-up on the remaining quotation lines.
Prerequisites
- The sales quotation must be in Released, or
Rejected status.
- One or more quotation lines must have been lost or won.
System Effects
The sales quotation is set to Closed status and no further transactions can be
performed.

Procedure
- Use the Populate or Query function to display the appropriate sales quotation.
- Right-click and click Close Quotation. The
Close Quotation dialog box will be displayed.
- Select Closed status.
- If the Closed status is Won, enter the reason for winning
the quotation, either by clicking List and choosing a reason from the list
or by entering the reason ID manually.
- If the Closed status is Lost, enter the reason for losing
the quotation, either by clicking List and choosing a reason from the list or by entering the reason ID
manually.
- Enter the competitor to whom the quotation was lost, either by clicking
List and choosing a competitor from the list or by entering the
competitor ID manually.
- Optionally, you may enter a short comment in the Note field.
- Click OK when completed. The quotation is closed.
