Define Control Plan Header
Explanation
Each control plan consists of two levels: a header and one or more lines. This activity creates a
new control plan header. The control plan that you create can be either a Control Plan
Manufacturing
for manufactured parts, a Control Plan Purchasing for purchased parts, or a Control Plan
Inventory for inventory
parts.
Prerequisites
- To create a Control Plan Manufacturing, the part must have been entered
in the
Inventory Part window. The part must have a Buildable
structure and a Buildable routing.
Note: To create a Control
Plan Manufacturing with a Prototype
routing type, you can use a
prototype routing
alternative in the Tentative state.
- To create a Control Plan Purchasing, the part must have been entered in
either the
Inventory Part or the
Purchase Part
windows. A supplier
for the purchase part must have been entered in the
Supplier for Purchase Part
window.
- To create a Control Plan Inventory, the part must have been entered in
the
Inventory
Part window.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, a control plan
header is created for a Control Plan Manufacturing, a Control Plan
Purchasing, or a Control Plan Inventory.
