Create Project Categories

Explanation

Projects within a company can be grouped by means of their characteristics such as internal, external etc. The project categories 1 and 2 are used to group such projects. Once projects are categorized the categories can be used as overhead criteria which in turn are used in the calculation of overheads, and as sales price criteria used for defining sales prices.

Procedure

  1. Open either the Project Category 1 window or the Project Category 2 window and click New to create a new record.
  2. Enter the project category identity, description. Default validity status will be active.
  3. Click Save.
  4. Create a new record in the table below.
  5. Enter or use List of values to enter companies under the particular category.
  6. Save your changes.
