Define Project Demand Miscellaneous Part Cost Details

Explanation

When a miscellaneous demand row is created the part cost details, i.e. the cost elements, cost and hours values, are automatically retrieved by performing a posting control simulation based on the basic data and the posting control setup.

Once the miscellaneous demand row is created this activity can be used to add or modify the part cost details.

Note: If you make changes to the miscellaneous demand line this will initiate a new posting control simulation that will override any manually entered cost and hours values, but only for the cost elements that are automatically retrieved from the simulation.

Planned Cost/Hours per Cost Element

Procedure

  1. Open the Project Navigator or the Project window, and query for the project for which cost or hours on misc. parts needs to be defined.
  2. Click on the Demand/Misc. Parts, Misc. No Part or Misc. Rental Part tab, select a misc. part line, right click and then click the Cost Elements menu option. The Planned Cost/Hours per Cost Elements dialog box will open.
  3. Click on a row in the table, and click on the New button.
  4. Enter a cost element in the Cost Element field, to which planned cost or hours needs to be entered. You can use the List button to select from a list of project cost elements as well.
  5. In the Planned Cost field, enter the cost for the relevant cost element and misc. part.
  6. In the Planned Hours field, enter the hours for the relevant cost element and misc. part.
  7. Click Apply.
  8. Click OK.
