Create Financial Project

Explanation

When a project is in Initialized status, it is normally not connected to a corresponding financial project. If the initialized project should be available for Budget or Business Planning, a corresponding financial project with status Planned can be created with this activity..

Prerequisites

• The project must be in the Initialized status.
• Company and Manager must be registered for the project.
• Project Group must be registered in Project Groups.
• Company finance information must be registered.

System Effects

• A financial project with the same identity is created with status Planned.

Procedure

1. Select the initialized project for which you want to create a corresponding financial project, then select Create Financial Project in the menu.
2. In the dialog that pops up, enter the finance Project Group.
3. Click OK.

Note: The financial project can be deleted if the project still has status Initialized and the financial project has not yet been used in Budget or Business Planning. This is done by selecting Delete Financial Project in the menu.
