Connect Change Order to Activity
Explanation
Change Orders registered in IFS Change Management can be connected to
activities, and vice versa.
Prerequisites
- A project activity and Change Order must exist.
System Effects
- A Change Order is connected to a project activity, and vice versa.
- When Engineering Change Order (ECO) actions are added to a Change Order that
has activity connection, the activity is updated with planned cost and hours
(if the Planned Cost Driver is Connected Objects).
- When progress is reported for the ECO actions the earned value and progress
are updated on the cost elements and the progress is updated on the activity
(if the Progress Method is Connected Objects).
- Committed, used and actual cost and hours are not reported against the
ECO but against other executing objects connected to the activity.
- Activity Connection table will be updated with details of connected change
orders.
- Connected change orders can be accessed from the activity.
