Review Consume Forecast
Explanation
Use this activity to review consume forecast information:
- The Consume Forecast check box is checked when project deliverables part
exist as a master scheduling level
1 part (MS Level 1 part).
- Material is transferred from temporary activities to project
deliverables actual project activities.

Perfom MS Level 1
The master scheduling process is used for material with long lead times.
Material is requested in an early phase of the project, by using a temporary
project activity. This is done in master scheduling by creating a MS Level 1 part. The material is later transferred to the
actual
project activity when requested by the project deliverables process. The material transfer happens during the master scheduling
process.
Material created during the master scheduling process is
automatically highlighted in project deliverables, by using a Consume
Forecast check box. The check box is found in Project
Deliverables Navigator windows:
- Materials/Material Requirements
tab - The check box for
Consumed Forecast is checked when the project deliverables part, exist
as a MS Level 1 part.
- Materials/Material Plans tab - The check box for
Consumed Forecast is checked on material plans with supply option
project
MRP and when the project deliverables part, exist as a MS Level 1 part.
- The deliverables tree in Project MRP Plan/General
tab - The check box for Consumed Forecast is checked on material plans with
supply option project MRP and when the project deliverables part, exist
as a MS Level 1 part.
Prerequisites
Part on project deliverable item should have been created as a MS Level 1
part in master scheduling. Information about how to create a MS Level 1 part is
described in Master
Planning and
Perfom MS Level 1.
Planning item of type Project MRP plan should have been created on project
deliverable items. Information about how to create deliverable items with
project MRP plans is described in
Plan
Project Deliverables.
MS Level 1 part and project deliverable must be connected within the same project.

Procedure
Review consumed forecast information:
- Open Project Deliverables Navigator window and
populate it with values.
- Open Materials/Material
Requirements tab.
- Confirm that the Consumed Forecast check box is
checked for materials where MS Level 1 part exist.
- Open Materials/Material Plans tab and confirm
that Consumed Forecast check box is set on Project
MRP plans and where a MS Level 1 part exist.
- Open Project MRP Plan/General
tab and confirm that Consumed Forecast check box is
set on Project MRP plans and where a MS Level 1 part exist.
Review material transfer from temporary activities to the actual project
activities in deliverables project:
- Complete master scheduling process as described in
Master Planning.
- Navigate to the part in MS Level 1 Part/Supply and Demand
tab.
- Review material connection to project deliverables of type
Project Deliverables Material.
- Review the material transfer from MS Level 1 part with temporary project
activity to project deliverable, with actual project activity.
- Review quantities for demand to supply.
- Notice how a part of type manufactured generates a shop order
requisition
- Notice how a part of type purchase generates a purchase requisition.
