Create Work Task Plan
Explanation
Use this activity to create work task plans in order to complete
installation, test and commissioning.
Prerequisites
For a work task to be created, the following should have been done:
- Project deliverable should have been defined with a project activity:
Add Default Values.
- Gross requirements should have been calculated to get the correct
quantities and dates: Generate
Material Plan.
The following enables work tasks to be copied from a work task template:
System Effects
Part information on project deliverable item and where a corresponding
inventory part exist, is automatically added as material on work task plan.

Procedure
Manually create work task plan:
- Open the Project Deliverables Navigator window and populate it with
values.
- Open the Planning Items tab.
- Create a new record and select execution type Work Task, from the
list.
- Enter a planning item name and optional, a description.
- Save the record.
- Notice how a new work task plan is created and added in the tree.
- Click on the work task item in the tree and review information.
- Enter Work Package Type and maintenance organization
in Maint Org field, or select from List of Values.
- Save the record.
Create work task plan items by copying the work list from a work task template:
- Make sure that a work task template has been created in Service and
Maintenance and that the template is added in a work task template
connection, in Project Deliverables. Refer to
Create
Work Task Template and
BDR for
Create Work Task Plan. Also make sure that project deliverable item is
defined with a class, as described here:

- Open the Project Deliverables Navigator window and populate it with
values.
- Select and item and where it has been defined with the same class, as in
the work task template connection.
- Open the Planning Items tab.
- Right-click and then click Copy Work List from Work Task Template.
- Notice how work list items from the work task template is copied and added as
work task plan items.
- Click on the work task item in the tree and review general information,
materials and resources.
- Notice how materials and resources have been copied from work task
template, if initially defined on the template.
- Enter Work Package Type and maintenance organization
in Maint Org field, or select from List of Values.
- Save the record.
