Create Work Package
Explanation
Use this activity to create a work package. This will enable work orders to
be created.
Prerequisites
A project deliverable structure should have been created and added with works
task plans.
System Effects
In Work Package window, work task plans and where they match the main information on the work package
will be added as unconnected work task plans. These work task plans can then be
connected as described below.

Procedure
Create work package and connect work task plans in Project
Deliverables Navigator/Work Tasks/Work Task Plans tab:
- Open Project Deliverables Navigator/Work Tasks/Work Task
Plans tab.
- Right-mouse click on work task plans and click Create and
connect to Work Package.
- Open Project Deliverables Navigator/Work Tasks/Work Packages
tab.
- Right-click and then click State/Release.
- A work order can now be created as described here:
Create Work Order.
Create work package in Work Package window:
- Open the Work Package window.
- Create a new record and enter mandatory values like work package name,
directive, site maintenance organization, work package type and project
information.
- Optional, enter Attribute ID or select from List of
Values.
- Save your changes.
- Notice how work tasks plans matching the above entered values (work
package name, directive, site maintenance organization, work package type,
project information, and attribute ID) are added in the work task plan list.
- To manage the connection between work package plans and work package,
right-click on work task plans and select connect/disconnect options.
- Right-click and then click State/Release.
- A work order can now be created as described here:
