Copy Deliverables Structure to Equipment
Explanation
Use this activity to copy deliverables structure to Equipment.
Prerequisites
Object property COPY_TO_MAINTANANCE should have been set to
YES, as described here:
Set Object Property for enabling the Copy to Equipment or Copy to Asset Design.
Tag numbers or serial information should have been assigned on items, as described here:
Assign Tag Numbers on Items.
System Effects
Items defined with tag numbers are created as functional objects.
Items defined with serial information are created as serial objects.
Documents added on lines in in Project Deliverable Navigator/Tags
tab will be copied to the object in Equipment.

Procedure
- Open the Project Deliverables Navigator window and populate it with
values.
- Open the General tab.
- Select an item to be copied.
- Right-click and click Copy
to Equipment.
- In the sub menu, select between:
- All items - Copies all items in the project deliverable
structure, regardless from where the option is executed.
- From current item - Copies the highlighted item in the tree and
its underlying component structure.
- Click OK.
- If the copy is done without using a background job, wait until the copy
operation releases the window.
- If the copy is done by using a background job, follow below procedure to
review the status.
- Open the Project Deliverables Navigator/Tags
tab.
- Right-click and click Equipment Object Navigator.
- Review the created equipment structure in Equipment Object
Navigator.
Also notice the following:
- Lines defined with only tag numbers in Project Deliverable Navigator/Tags
tab are created as functional objects.
- Lines defined with any serial information in Project Deliverable Navigator/Tags
tab are created as serial objects.
- Lines defined with documents in Project Deliverable Navigator/Tags
tab are created as equipment objects and added with the same set of
documents.
- Equipment objects can now be further processed, as described here:

Review background job:
- If the copy is done by using a background job, open Database
Background Job window, to monitor the status.
- Populate the Database Background Job window to find the
job.
- Right-click and then click Show Details.
- Review information about the job.
