Activate Estimates

Explanation

Use this activity to activate estimates. This activity also describes how to activate the Active check box to accumilate planned cost and hours on project activity.

Prerequisites

Estimates should have been created.

System Effects

Activated estimates will be accumulated in planned cost and hours calculations on project activity.

Procedure

  1. Open the Project Deliverables Navigator window and populate it with values.
  2. Open the Planning Items tab.
  3. Click on a record of execution type Estimate.
  4. In the lower part of the window, select the Active check box.
  5. The estimated cost and hours will now be accumulated in planned cost and hours calculations, on the project activity.
  6. Review and manage estimates as described here: Review Estimates
  7. Clear the check box to inactivate the estimate.
