Investigate Similar Faults
Explanation
This activity is used to examine the historical data for repaired faults.
Once the relevant product model, function, fault code and time interval are
entered, you can populate the data to be examined. This data includes the number
of occurrences, average duration in hours, average man-hours used, and the
average operational value. You can also view the fault codes that were reported
when repairing the faults as well as the material used per fault code. The
historical information provides support at later stages for similar repairs of
the same type of reported faults.
Prerequisites
Historical information on the faults must exist.
System Effects
As a result of this activity, the historical information for repaired faults
can be examined and investigations of similar faults may be done.

Procedure
- Open the Support Fault window.
- In the Product Number field, enter the relevant product number.
Use the List of Values to select a value.
- In the Model Number field, enter the model number of the selected
product model. Use the List of Values to select a value.
- In the Insp Function No field, enter the function number of the
selected product model. Use the List of Values to select a value.
- In the Insp Fault Code field, enter the fault code of the
selected function. Use the List of Values to select a value.
- In the Fault Date From field, enter the date you want. By
default, the date one year back is displayed. This value can be changed.
- In the Fault Date To field, enter the date you want. By default,
the system date is displayed. This value can be changed.
- Click Populate to query for the data based on the given
information.
- Observe the information displayed in the Overview tab and
the Fault Codes and Material tab.
- Optionally, click Clear to remove the query results displayed in
the tab windows.
