Define Sign Off Requirements for Maintenance Order
Explanation
This activity is used to define sign off requirements
for a maintenance order. This is useful when predefined sign off requirements do
not exist on the maintenance order, and must be entered manually.
Note: If sign off requirements have been defined
for the product model connected to the serial on the maintenance order, these
sign off requirements will be connected automatically to the maintenance order.
Furthermore, if sign off requirements are defined for the product model
connected to the maintenance order, and this maintenance order is in a status
earlier than the Released status, it will be possible to retrieve updated
sign off requirements to the maintenance order.
Prerequisites
- A maintenance order must exist. The maintenance
order must be in either the New, Initial Scope Definition or
Under Preparation status.
- To enter an HR certificate, certificates must be defined in
basic data.
- For sign off requirements to be connected
automatically to the maintenance order, sign off requirements must be
defined for the product model connected to the serial on the maintenance
order.
- The Automatically Finish Order check box
must not have been selected for the maintenance order.
System Effects
- Sign off requirements will be defined for the
maintenance order.
- Validations can be performed when signing off the
maintenance order.

Procedure
Use this procedure to manually define sign off
requirements for the maintenance order:
- Open the Maintenance Order window
and query (F3) for the necessary maintenance order.
- Click the Sign Off Req. tab and
create a new record (F5).
- In the Sign Off Requirement Type field,
specify the type of sign off required.
- If a certificate is required, enter the ID of the certificate in the
Certificate ID field. Use the List of Values to select a valid
value.
- If a certificate level is required, enter the certificate level in the
Certificate Level Name
field. Use the List of Values to select a valid value.
- Additional information may be entered in the Sign Off Description
field.
- Save the information (F12).
Use this procedure to retrieve updated sign off
requirements to the maintenance order:
- Open the Maintenance Order window
and query (F3) for the necessary maintenance order.
- Click the Sign Off Req. tab.
- Right-click and click Fetch Standard Sign Off
Requirements.
- An information message appears requiring
confirmation of the step. Click Yes.
