Set as Buffered Part

Explanation

This activity is used to set an inventory part as a buffered part which acts as a decoupling point in the MRP BOM explosion.

Prerequisites

• Part should not be defined as MS Level 1 active part.
• Part should be handled by MRP.
• Supply Type of the part should not be set as dynamic order processing (DOP).

System Effects

• The MRP method for the part will be set as Planning Method H.
