Create Shop Order Requisitions from Proposed Schedule

Explanation

This activity is used to create shop order requisitions for a production line from its proposed schedule. You can either completely replace the existing shop order requisitions for that time range, or simply add the proposed schedule as additional requisitions.

This activity is used only when the parts produced on the line is supplied using shop orders.

Prerequisites

• A proposed schedule must exist for the production line.
• A routing revision and alternate valid for this production line must have been selected for each part from the Routing Operation Parameters dialog box.

System Effects

• Shop order requisitions will be created for the production line, or the selected production line part for the affected date range. The requisitions will be created with dates and quantities to match the proposed schedule. The requisitions will be created with the part routing revision and alternate selected in the Routing Operation Parameters dialog box for this production line.
• If the Replace Existing Requisitions check box is selected, existing requisitions in status ProposalCreated valid for the production line, or selected production line part will be deleted for the affected date range. If a requisition is connected to a batch balance, the corresponding balance node will be removed.

Procedure

1. Right-click on the Production Line Management window, and then click Create Shop Order Requisitions from Proposed Schedule.
2. Enter the the part to create requisitions for in the Part Number field, or leave it blank to create requisitions for the entire production line. 
3. Enter the date interval.
4. Select the Replace Existing Requisitions check box, If you want to replace the existing requisitions.
5. Click OK.
6. View the new line requisitions on the Shop Order Requisitions tab. You can manually update and delete records here.
