Connect DOP Header to Project Activity

Explanation

Use this menu choice to connect a DOP Header to an activity after the DOP Header has been created.

Only DOP Headers in status Created can be connected to an activity.
The DOP Header can not be connected to several activities - it's only possible to connect a DOP Header to one activity.
The project to connect to must be in status Approved or Started.
The project activity must have status Planned or Released to be available.
The site of the DOP Header must be defined as an allowed site for the connected project.
It shouldn't be possible to connect a DOP Header that's connected/created as a job (attribute Financial Integration should be No Integration), against an activity.
The project code part may not already be preposted with a financial project.

The DOP Header will be marked with the connected project/activity.
Pre-posting will be inherited from the project. As the dop header already exists, it may already have pre-postings. If pre-posting on the code part already exists, they will be replaced by the project pre-posting. If the project pre-posting has no value for a code part then the existing pre-posting on the object will remain unchanged. Also the project and activity sequence will be posted.
The DOP Header appears as a connection in the Project Info/Connections-form.
The DOP Header will return committed and used cost/hours and/or progress when the connected activity runs the Refresh Activity Calculation.
If the DOP Header start date and finish date is outside the start date and finish date for the activity, a warning message is given.

Select the desired DOP Header that you wish to connect to a Project Activity
Right click, point to Project Connection and then click Connect to Activity.
In the dialog box that pops up, select the Project Activity that you wish to connect to.
Click OK.
